Lottery Transfer of Over $68.5 Million |

Today the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) transferred $68,580,917 to the State Education Lottery Fund for sales during the first two months of the 4th quarter of the fiscal year (April 1 – May 31). This brings the total transferred to the State Education Fund for Fiscal Year 2007-2008, which runs July 1, 2007, through May 31, 2008, to $318,808,453. |

Lottery tickets have been selling like wildfire since Kings Mountain resident Jeff Wilson won $88.1 million playing Powerball, said Angi White, assistant manager of the Petro Express in Kings Mountain where the winning ticket was sold.
